DESTA, a history of Family
and Company with the Passion to serve

The history began in 1980, full of emotion and determination. There were many difficulties and the resources were few, but the inspiration and the power of our passion won. We started our climbing, step by step.
After more than thirty years, the small workshop becomes an industry. Production increases and diversifies into many different clerical sectors of products, all made in a modern factory of 7,000 square meters. There are four main production lines: tailoring and clothing, woodworking, metalworking, also with precious metals, production of wafers and particles for altar bread. We are supported in our factory by thirty skilled workers which use advanced technology and equipment.
Using CAD systems, our design team develops our products by taking into consideration prevailing style and design preferences, as well as quality optimizing raw materials in order to achieve a competitive pricing and to meet the needs of our various clerical customers.

A high degree of flexibility within our production process allows us to design an infinite range of products to be distributed either individually or in bulk orders, depending on the particular needs of each of our customers.
Furthermore, because we are dedicated to a high degree of customer satisfaction, we are constantly seeking new graphic design options for all of our vestments in order to keep our products fresh and interesting.
We consider ourselves to be an industry with a craftmaker's heart. We guarantee that each order will be manufactured with special care with an individual item or a large bulk order. Every step of the production process will be done inside our establishment.
As we conclude, we can never forget that without our faithful customers and our precious staff we would have no story to tell.

And so, to all of them and all of our future customers, we want to say THANK YOU.

WYD SEOUL 2027 | DESTA - Official Manufacturer and Supplier

WYD Seoul 2027

"Take courage:
I have conquered the world!"

- Jn 16:33 -

Celebrating World Youth Day Seoul 2027 with DESTA:
The union of Faith, Art, and Tradition

Dear Customer,

We are deeply honored to share with our Customers news of extraordinary significance for our company: DESTA has officially been selected for the design and supply of the liturgical vestments, sacred vessels, and Eucharistic bread that will be used during the celebrations of World Youth Day Seoul 2027.

WYD 2027 will take place in Seoul, South Korea, from August 3 to August 8, 2027, and will be inspired by the Gospel passage:

«Take courage: I have conquered the world!»
(Jn 16:33)

This event represents a historic moment of great hope for the Church: it will be the first World Youth Day held in a country with a non-Christian majority and the second in Asia, following Manila 1995. It will be an occasion that calls millions of young people to rediscover their faith and to face the challenges of the contemporary world with courage, trust, and hope.

This important appointment continues the experience gained during World Youth Day Panama 2019 and World Youth Day Lisbon 2023, during which DESTA was exclusively entrusted with the production and authorized commercialization of the vestments worn during the official liturgical celebrations. These assignments were moments of profound honor for our company and confirmed the international trust placed in our work.

For WYD Seoul 2027, DESTA will devote the utmost care to:

  • liturgical vestments for all Bishops and Priests, crafted according to the most authentic Italian sartorial tradition, combining liturgical dignity, artistic beauty, and reverence for sacred signs;
  • sacred vessels, expressions of art and sacredness, designed to safeguard and enhance the Eucharistic Mystery;
  • Eucharistic hosts and altar breads, produced in full compliance with liturgical norms, so that every celebration may be a true encounter with Christ.

Every DESTA creation is conceived not merely as an object of worship, but as a visible sign of a shared spiritual journey, an instrument that accompanies prayer and ecclesial communion among the faithful from all parts of the world. As the Gospel reminds us: «I am the vine, you are the branches. Whoever remains in me and I in him will bear much fruit» (Jn 15:5).

The journey of preparation for WYD 2027 has already begun and involves the Church, institutions, and Korean civil society in a great project of dialogue, care for creation, and testimony of hope. In this context, DESTA is proud to contribute its work to an event that speaks of peace, unity, and a future for new generations.

We take this opportunity to thank all those who, over time, have placed their trust in our company, and in particular His Excellency Paul Kyung Sang Lee, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Seoul and General Coordinator of the Local Organizing Committee for WYD Seoul 2027. It is also thanks to you that today we can continue to place Faith, Art, and Tradition at the service of the Church and of young people around the world.

With gratitude and devotion,

DESTA Industrie S.r.l.
